Website Developer

Time Commitment: Flexible, approximately 5-10 hours per week

Location: Remote (Virtual Position)

Role Commitment: 6 month commitment preferred

What we seek: RedSky Money is looking for a talented and committed part-time volunteer Website Developer to join our team. As a volunteer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our online presence, ensuring that our website effectively communicates our mission, services, and impact. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute your skills to a meaningful cause while gaining valuable experience in the non-profit sector.

Responsibilities:

1. Website Development: Coordinate with the leadership team to design, develop, and maintain the organization’s website. Ensure the site is user-friendly, visually appealing, and aligns with the organization’s brand.
2. Content Management: Regularly update website content, including program information, success stories, and relevant news. Ensure accuracy and relevance of content to engage and inform visitors.
3. Technical Support: Provide technical support for website-related issues and troubleshoot as needed. Stay informed about the latest web development trends and recommend improvements to enhance the user experience.
4. Integration of Tools: Integrate and optimize tools and plugins that enhance the website’s functionality, such as donation platforms, client database, registration forms, and social media feeds.
5. Collaboration: Work closely with the leadership team to align website updates with overall communication and outreach strategies. Incorporate feedback from team members to improve website functionality.

Qualifications/Competencies:

• Proficient in web development languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Experience with website development platforms (currently WordPress)
• Familiarity with graphic design tools is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a virtual environment.
• Passion for the organization’s mission and values.
